According
to a Bloomberg report, Apple could launch new low-cost products as soon as March
8. The report from Bloomberg says that Apple is preparing to launch a new
low-cost 5G iPhone and iPad at the event. In March, Apple will announce the
new iPhone 54, New iPad, and Mac as well.
After October
2021, this will be the first launch of Apple products in 2022. The march event
will be a virtual live stream launch, according to the Bloomberg report.
Currently,
Apple offers a low-cost iPhone that is the iPhone SE. This iPhone was introduced in
2020 and retails for $399. iPhone SE is the most recent model with low price
and Apple’s Touch ID fingerprint sensor. The upcoming iPhone could have the
same design or body but a faster processor and 5G support, according to the Bloomberg
report.
The
upcoming new iPad is
expected to be an updated version of the old iPad Air. iPad Air was last updated in October
2020 and currently, its price is $599. Apple iPad was only the major product
line to report low sales during the December quarter. Apple said that low sales
of $329 iPad target at schools and volume purchaser was the primary reason for
the business’s decline.
Apple’s low-cost device launches are not much important to the company than its traditional
fall launches, which reveal pricier and more profitable high-end iPhone models
ahead.
Apple may launch the new iPhone model with the release of Ios 15.4, the
latest version of the iPhone software.
Currently, IOS 15.4 is in beta testing and developers are trying to include
several features. The new update of Ios 15 will include features like facial
recognition to unlock the device while wearing a mask and new emoji.
